Hundreds of patients died at Hampshire hospital, according to independent report

A fresh criminal investigation has been launched into the deaths of hundreds of patients at Gosport War Memorial hospital, police have said.

More than 450 people died at the Hampshire hospital, while a further 200 were “probably” similarly given opioids between 1989 and 2000 without medical justification, according to the Gosport independent panel report.
