Japanese officials fail to quash speculation that PM may be unable to serve out his term after two recent hospital visits

Japan’s prime minister, Shinzo Abe, is to address growing concerns about his health on Friday after he made two hospital visits in the space of a week.

Officials from the governing Liberal Democratic party (LDP) have failed to quash speculation that Abe may be unable to serve out his term, which ends in September 2021, as rumours have swirled around the state of his health.
